5.Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Yesterday really means what life is. When I was young,I felt the reality was so far away.I had many good dreams.Sometimes I dreamed to be a translater,sometimes to be a editor,or a famous writer and so on.
Today,I never have too many dreams in the clouds.I know the most important thing is to size"Now"--the golden age of school.Setting a goal--to be an excellent person,I try my best to achieve it.I spend a lot of time getting knowledge and improving my ability.And especially,I work hard at English and writing,both of which are greatly improtant to the "I" of tomorrow.
Tomorrow,I will get out of school and into the real world.The world is sure to be full of competition,but I will face it with my knowledge and ability.I will make my great efforts to work for the people.
9. The Power of a Smile
There is power in a smile, and it is real.
Your smile is the messenger of your good will. Your smile brightens the lives of all who see it. To someone who has seen dozen of people frown, your smile is like the sun breaking through the clouds. When someone is under pressure from his or her boss, customers, teachers, parents or children, a smile can help him or her realize that life is not hopeless, and that there really is joy in the world.
Enjoy the sunshine, and greet your friends with a smile. Do not fear being misunderstood1 or waste time thinking about your enemies. Keep the right mental attitude by being honest. Keep in mind to smile from the bottom of your heart when you drive, when you answer the phone or when you talk to a stranger. Let your smile bring a miracle2 to their lives. Yes, there is power in a smile. It is real.
9. Life is the best teacher
I was not able to get high marks when I was in primary school. Teachers didn’t like me because I was not a good student. Mother considered me as a bad kid. They hurt me by thinking I am a retarded child. But I am no fool. Almost all of my paintings were showed in public. Many famous artists had praised me for my paintings. They called me "little prodigy". And dad was on my side too. He encouraged me to do what I liked and what I thought was proper. He told me that interest is the best teacher, Dad did what he could to develop my talent fully. I believe that interest together with hard work will make me a successful artist in the near future.
