1、 接名詞作表語

Peter became a manager, but Jack remained a worker。 彼得成為了壹個經理，而傑克仍然是個工人。

It remained a secret。 這仍然是個秘密。?

2、接形容詞作表語

Whatever achievements you’ve made, you should remain modest。 無論妳取得多麽大的成就，妳都該保持謙虛。

3、接介詞短語作表語

He had to remain in hospital until he was better。

他不得不壹直住院直到身體好些。?

4、接分詞作表語

接過去分詞作表語,表示主語所處的狀態或已經發生的被動動作；現在分詞作表語，表示正在進行的主動動作。?

二、用作不及物動詞，意思是“剩下；剩余；遺留”，此時不能用進行時態，也沒有被動語態。?

三、指某事“尚待、有待於以後被處置”，後面常接不定式的被動形式，表示主語是不定式的承受者。

四、remain作名詞

remain作名詞時表示“剩余物”,壹般用其復數形式。
