1 用以引出比較的第二部分，如I am older than her.
2 用以比較數量、距離等多於、少於、小於，如It never takes more than an hour.
3 表示壹件事緊跟著另壹件事發生，常用短語：no soon …than 如No soon had I sat down than there was a loud knock on the door. 我剛坐下來就有人敲門 又hardly…than 如 Hardly had we arrived than the problem started.我們剛到問題就來了
than 壹般會跟壹個形容詞或者副詞來形容比較程度的，比如run faster than,richer than...；或者就是跟著介詞短語用。
不能去掉more，more在這裏就是個adv.。enjoy只是seem to do句型中的。
more than 基本用法
more than與數詞連用，意思是“多於，大於，超過”。相當於over.例如：
I’ve known him for more than 20 years. 我認識他已經二十多年了。
2. morethan後面跟名詞，意為“不只是，不僅僅是”。例如： She is more than a teacher to us, she is our friend. 他不只是教師，她還是我們的朋友。
3. morethan與形容詞和分詞連用，表示“非常、十分”。例如：
She is morethanbeautiful. 她非常漂亮 。4. morethan與動詞連用，對動詞起著加強語氣的作用。例如： His progress morethan encouraged him to work hard. 進步激勵他努力學習。
