2.2.1 關於工作（About Job）
實際工作中，員工常常需要不斷學習和勇於承擔責任，求職者如果能表現出這種素質，會給應聘方留下良好的印象。
面試例題1：What range of pay-scale are you interested in？
（妳感興趣的薪水標準在哪個層次？）
參考答案
Money is important, but the responsibility that goes along with this job is what interests me the most.
（薪水固然重要，但這工作伴隨而來的責任更吸引我。）
假如妳有家眷，可以說：
To be frank and open with you, I like this job, but I have a family to support.
（坦白地說，我喜歡這份工作，不過我必須要負擔我的家庭。）
面試例題2：What do you want most from your work?
（妳最希望從工作中得到什麽?）
答案
I hope to get a kind of learning to get skills from my work. Though I have studied in school for nearly 16 years, I have only learned knowledge. In the university, I got no chance to see real life and didn’t get working skills. So I want to learn some working skills and become a professional in an industry.
（我最希望得到的是壹種學習，能讓我學到工作的技能。雖然我已經在學校學習了快16年,但只是學習到了知識，在學校裏，沒有機會接觸到真正的社會，沒有掌握壹項工作技能，所以我最希望獲得壹項工作的技能，能夠成為某壹個行業領域的專業人士。）
面試例題3：Why did you choose us?（妳為什麽選擇到我們公司來應聘?）
答案
As the saying goes, "well begun is half done". Your company is a famous one in the industry and boasts a high reputation. I hope to choose your company as the beginning of my career. I can not only learn new things, but set a solid foundation for my future career as well.
（俗話說“良好的開端是成功的壹半”。貴公司是行業內的知名公司，享有很高的聲譽。我希望選擇貴公司作為事業的開端，不僅可以學到新東西，而且為我將來的發展打下良好的基礎。）
面試例題4：What do you hope this job will give you?
（妳最希望這份工作給予妳什麽?）
答案
I hope this job will give me a chance to take responsibility. In more than ten years’ of study as a student, I have never taken any responsibility in any real sense or earned money for a company. I think people can only become mature by taking on responsibility. I hope this work will give me the chance to develop fully.
（我希望這份工作可以給我壹個承擔職責的機會。在過去十幾年的學習生涯中，作為壹名學生，我從來沒有在真正意義上承擔過責任，為壹個企業盈利。我認為，人是通過承擔壹定的責任才能成長、成熟的，我希望這份工作能夠給予我發展的機會。）
面試例題5：Why should I hire you?（我為什麽要雇用妳呢？）
答案
I feel that my qualifications match your job description. I have a proven track record in resolving problems, multitasking, and dealing with customers, as you can see from my resume.
（我覺得我的條件正適合妳們的工作類型。從我的簡歷中妳可以看到我有壹份證實我在解決問題，進行多重任務工作和處理顧客問題方面能力的證明資料。）
面試例題6：What can you offer this company?
（妳能為公司做出什麽貢獻呢？）
答案
In addition to the skills and experiences we discussed, I'm an extremely hard worker, I'm very thorough and methodical, I get along great with people, and I'm a quick learner.
（除了我們剛才討論過的技能和經歷之外，我是壹個工作非常努力的人，我工作很認真，而且很有辦法，我能與大家相處得非常好，並且我學得很快。）
面試例題7：Great! So when can you start?
（好極啦。妳什麽時候可以上班呢？）
答案
I have to give two weeks notice, which is just enough time to complete my current project. I can start any time after that.
（我必須提前兩周提交辭職報告，在這兩周內，我要繼續工作並完成目前的任務。兩周後，我可以隨時上班。）
面試例題8：Can you tell me some of your strengths and weaknesses?
（妳能告訴我妳的強項和弱項嗎？）
答案
I'm loyal, honest, I manage my time effectively, I always follow through on my work, and I have great computer skills. Umm, I can't really say I have any major weakness that affects my performance at work. I believe in continual learning and on-the-job training I can perform even better. Sometimes, I think I'm too hard-working, but I really love my work.
（我忠誠，誠實，能有效地利用我的時間，我工作有頭有尾，並且我有很強的計算機運用能力。事實上我沒有什麽會影響到我的工作表現的重大弱點，我堅信通過不斷地學習和在職培訓我會表現得更好。有時我工作太瘋狂了，但我實在太熱愛我的工作了。）
面試例題9：How do you normally handle criticism？
（妳通常如何處理別人的批評？）
答案
Silence is gold. Just don't say anything, otherwise the situation could become worse. I do, however, accept constructive criticism.
（沈默是金。不必說什麽，否則情況更糟，不過我會接受建設性的批評。）

面試例題10：What do you find frustrating in a work situation？
（在工作中，什麽會令妳不高興？）
答案
Sometimes, the narrow-minded people make me frustrated.
（胸襟狹窄的人有時使我泄氣。）
Minds that are not receptive to new ideas.
（不能接受新思想的那些人。）
面試例題11：How do you handle your conflict with your colleagues in your work?
（妳如何處理與同事在工作中的意見不和？）
答案
I will try to present my ideas in a more clear and civilized manner in order to get my points across.
（我要以更清楚文明的方式，提出我的看法，使對方了解我的觀點。）
面試例題12：How long would you like to stay with this company？
（妳會在本公司服務多久呢？）

面試例題13：What contribution did you make to your current (previous) organization？
（妳對目前/從前的工作單位有何貢獻？）

I have finished three new projects, and I am sure I can apply my experience to this position.（我已經完成3個新項目，我相信我能將我的經驗用在這份工作上。）
面試例題14：Why did you leave your last job？
（妳為什麽離職呢？）
答案
Well, I am hoping to get an offer of a better position. If opportunity knocks, I will take it.
（我希望能獲得壹份更好的工作，如果機會來臨，我會抓住。）
I feel I have reached the glass ceiling in my current job. I feel there is no opportunity for advancement.
（我覺得目前的工作，已經達到頂峰，即沒有升遷機會。）
2.2.2 關於個人（About Person）
有時候招聘方會提到有關求職者的個人信息的話題，以此判斷求職者是否符合他們的要求。例如有些工作需要方言和人脈，適合本地人來做；有些工作需要經常出差，單身的人就有優勢。但是有些問題涉及到個人隱私，求職者不方便回答，例如招聘方問：“I noticed you're wearing a wedding ring. Do you have any children?”這時最好的回答就是“Why do you ask?”這樣可以掌握主動，了解招聘方真正的意圖，也許招聘方只是想知道求職者是否能長時間留在他們公司。
面試例題15：What leadership qualities did you develop as an administrative personnel？
（作為行政人員，妳有什麽樣的領導才能？）
答案
I feel that learning how to motivate people and to work together as a team will be the major goal of my leadership.
（我覺得學習如何把人們的積極性調動起來，以及如何配合協同的團隊精神，是我管理工作的主要目標。）
I have refined my management style by using an open-door policy.
（我以開放式的政策，改進我的管理方式。）
面試例題16：How would your friends or colleagues describe you？
（妳的朋友或同事怎樣評價妳？）
答案
Pause a few seconds.
（稍等幾秒鐘再答，表示慎重考慮。）
They say Mr. Chen is an honest, hardworking and responsible man who deeply cares for his family and friends.
（他們說陳先生是位誠實、工作努力、負責任的人，他對家庭和朋友都很關心。）
They say Mr. Chen is a friendly, sensitive, caring and determined person.
（他們說陳先生是位很友好、敏感、關心他人和有決心的人。）
面試例題17：What are your strongest traits？
（妳個性上最大的特點是什麽？）
答案
Helpfulness and caring.（樂於助人和關心他人。）
Adaptability and sense of humor.（適應能力和幽默感。）
Cheerfulness and friendliness.（樂觀和友愛。）
面試例題18：What personality traits do you admire？
（妳欣賞哪種性格的人？）
答案
I admire a person who is honest, flexible and easy-going.
（誠實、不死板而且容易相處的人。)
I like people who possess the can-do spirit.（有實際行動的人。）
面試例題19：How do you handle your failure？
（妳怎樣對待自己的失敗？)
答案
None of us was born perfect. I am sure I will be given a second chance to correct my mistake.（我們大家生來都不是十全十美的，我相信我有第二次機會改正我的錯誤。）
面試例題20：What's your greatest weakness?
（妳最大的缺點是什麽？）
答案
西方老板特別愛問這個問題，讓求職者感到很緊張。事實上，這個問題是考查求職者對棘手問題的反應。妳沒必要如實回答妳的弱點，因為那有可能讓妳得不到這份工作。相反，妳可以告訴他們壹些與工作不直接相關的事情。
例如可以按照下面的方式回答。
● I tend to drive myself too hard.（我總是讓自己太辛苦）
● I expect others to perform beyond their capacities
（我希望其他人的發揮能超出其自身能力的範圍）
● I like to see a job done quickly, and I'm critical if it isn't.
（我比較性急，總是希望能盡快地完成工作）
面試例題21：How do you rate yourself as a professional？
（妳如何評估自己是位專業人員呢？)
答案
With my strong academic background, I am capable and competent.
（憑借我良好的學術背景，我可以勝任自己的工作，而且我認為自己很有競爭力。）
面試例題22：If you had a lot of money to donate, where would you donate it to？Why？
（假如妳有很多錢可以捐贈，妳會捐給什麽單位？為什麽？）
答案
I would donate it to the medical research because I want to do something to help others.
（我會捐給醫藥研究，因為我要為他人做點事。)
I prefer to donate it to educational institutions.（我樂意捐給教育機構。）
面試例題23：What kinds of people do you like to work with?
（妳喜歡和什麽樣的人壹起工作？）
答案
I like to work with people who have pride, honesty, integrity, and dedication to their work.（我喜歡和有自尊、為人正直誠實、並且樂於奉獻的人壹塊兒工作。）
2.2.3 關於未來（About Future）
有時候招聘方會問求職者有關未來的問題，目的就是了解應聘者做事的風格，以及應聘者對這份工作的看法。當然由於求職者還不是很了解自己所應聘的工作，因此在回答問題時並不壹定面面俱到，大致說明自己的計劃目標就好了。
面試例題24：Could you project what you would like to be doing five years from now？
（妳能預料五年後妳會做什麽嗎？）
答案
As I have some software management experience in my last job, I may use my organizational and planning skills in the future.
（我在上壹個工作中積累了壹些軟件管理經驗，我將來也許要運用我組織和計劃上的經驗和技巧。）
I hope to demonstrate my ability and talents in my field adequately.
（我希望能充分展示我在這個行業的能力和智慧。）
Perhaps, an opportunity at a management position would be exciting.
（也許有機會，我將會從事管理工作。）
如果不願正面回答，也可以說：
It would be premature for me to predict this.（現在對此問題的預測，尚嫌過早。）
甚至還可以打趣的說：
Hypothetically speaking, I might be able to do your current job as a software project manager.（CEO / president。）
（說不定，我也能做妳現在軟件項目經理的工作呢！）
面試例題25：What specific goals have you established for your career?
（妳在職業方面有什麽特殊的目標？）
答案
My goals include becoming an expert software project manager, so I can obtain a better working knowledge of both software technology and communication with my clients, which would allow me contribute to my client base as a better software services since I would have that extra insight into the requirements they are looking for.
（我的目標是成為壹個高級軟件項目經理，這樣我就能獲得更好的軟件技能和與客戶溝通能力，從而能為客戶提供更好的服務，因為我對於他們要投資的需求以及所需技能具有絕佳的分析和見解。）
面試例題26：What will it take to attain your goals, and what steps have you taken toward attaining them?
（為了達到妳的目標，妳會用什麽方法，采取什麽步驟？）
答案
I would like take the following steps. First of all I?m stduying some kinds of software technologies including system programming and application programming. Secondly，I will learning how to communicate with both my team members and my clients. Finally I can find my strongest suit which is toward to type of technology or type of management.
（我準備進行下面的步驟。首先，目前我正在學習多方面的編程技術，其中包括系統編程以及應用編程。然後，我需要學習如何與我的團隊成員以及客戶做更好的交流。這樣最後決定自己的特長是偏向技術類型還是管理類型。）
微笑的拿分
