空間科學與技術專業介紹：空間科學與技術專業是為了適應我國空間科學與技術事業的發展而新設立的專業。空間科學與技術專業教學與研究的內容包括：利用各類航天器上的觀測儀器和實驗設備，研究日地空間、行星際空間、恒星空間環境的物理、化學特性及其演化過程；研究天體（包括地球、太陽、行星及其衛星、彗星、小行星和其他恒星）的結構特性及其形成和演化過程；利用空間平臺進行各種在地面實驗室中不能實現的科學試驗，研究微重力條件下的各種物理化學過程、生命現象和材料的生成；利用探空火箭和各類航天器的空間探測技術。目前，空間科學的主要研究領域包括以下幾門學科分支：空間物理學、空間天文學、空間天氣學、微重力科學、空間生命科學和空間地球科學等。空間技術，主要只指與空間科學研究和應用有關的技術，包括空間探測技術、衛星與空間站應用技術、航天器防護技術等。承擔大量的有關深空探測任務規劃及科學目標制定、空間碎片防護、航天器軌道設計、航天器在軌服務、空間遙感技術、組合導航及自主導航技術等方面的國家863、國家973、國防科工委民用航天、國家自然科學基金等方面的科研課題。專業理工結合、註重學科交叉，依托科研優勢，保證人才培養素質，面向航天發展需求，航天特色明顯。
